Levers & Push Buttons Explained

Toilet levers or push buttons can sometimes wear and you may need to replace them. Like any other accessory, they can be a finishing touch to your bathroom.

A toilet lever is usually associated with a traditional style bathroom but some contemporary toilets may use them. They are often produced with a chrome finish and ceramic or plastic sleeve over the handle to create a stylish look. A push button is designed for contemporary style toilets and is usually positioned on the top of the cistern. The push button usually has a chrome finish and the design is either round or square. It is common for the push button to have 2 buttons (a large and small) one which changes the flush from a full to half - reducing water flow. Other types of levers are a flush pull (designed with a chain to be positioned on a high-level traditional cistern) and push button wall plates designed for wall hung or back to wall pans which link to a concealed cistern or wall mounting frame.

All of the cistern levers and push buttons come complete with the internal parts connecting to the cistern fixings so you have everything you need to replace the older one. Installation is easy too, they all come with installation guides that require minimum tool requirements.
