COVID-19: a note to our customers

At JT Pickfords, the well-being of both our customers and staff are our top priority. As such, we are taking every possible precaution to ensure the safety of everyone concerned. We'd like to reassure you that, where possible, all orders will continue to be delivered as normal, with the following changes to protect both you and our delivery team.

Signing for your delivery

For deliveries requiring a signature, our drivers/couriers will not ask you to sign a delivery note or an hand-held device. Our drivers/couriers will temporarily do this on your behalf. This will only happen when the customer opens the door and gives their name for security reasons. The driver/courier may also take a photo of the goods on your doorstep.

Courier Delivery

If we need to deliver a parcel that won’t fit through your letterbox, the driver will place the parcel on your doorstep. The driver will knock on the door and step back two metres. The driver will explain that due to extra precautions over Coronavirus, we will not be requiring a signature. The driver will ask for the recipient’s surname which will be then be entered by the driver as proof of delivery. If no one answers the door, the driver will leave the usual calling card and return the item to base.

Pallet Delivery

Our pallet delivery partners will continue to deliver pallets to the kerbside outside of your address. In addition to this, they will remain at least 2 metres away from you or anyone in your property to ensure there is no unnecessary direct or close contact between drivers and customers.

Local 2 Person Delivery Service

For large orders delivered locally by our 2 person delivery team, your order will be delivered to your doorstep or in to a garage or outside building. The delivery team will not be able to enter your property but will ring you ahead of your scheduled delivery time to ensure we provide the best possible service. When carrying your items, the delivery team will remain at least 2 metres away from you or anyone on your property. Instead of taking your signature, they will take your name and may also take a photo of the goods.

How will I receive my order?
  • Courier Delivery

    For small to large deliveries, usually single items, we will utilise a courier to deliver your order. Each item is individually checked and carefully packaged before the courier collects it from us.

    We use a range of leading couriers that provide the highest levels of service throughout the UK to ensure your order arrives safely and on time.

    Once you have placed your order, you will be able to track it through the courier service provided. Please ensure you supply a valid e-mail address upon placing your order.

  • Pallet Delivery

    For larger items and combination products, a pallet service is required as the items ordered will be larger and heavier. The standard pallet delivery period is between 2-7 working days and you will be contacted prior to delivery to arrange a time slot.

    You can choose a Next Day Pallet Service if all items are in stock (Mainland UK ONLY - some postcodes are excluded). Our pallet service will be delivered to the nearest kerbside only. The delivery team WILL NOT take items in to your home. You will be responsible for the correct disposal of any pallets or packaging.

  • 2 Man Delivery

    For large orders local to our Sheffield Distribution Centre, we can provide a 2 person delivery service through our fleet of delivery vehicles.

    Delivery price is dependent on postcode. We also offer a Next Day Delivery option at an additional cost. Your order will be dropped off safely at your property, however there MUST be a person present to receive and sign for the delivery.

    PLEASE NOTE: We cannot take items in to your home.

Delivery Rates (UK Mainland)

All of our products available on our website have a delivery rate which is displayed on the product page to assist you. When you combine 2 or more products then your delivery costs will be calculated at the checkout. Please see the table below for estimated delivery prices. The final price is dependent on your postcode.

All Next Day Delivery estimates are based on a "next working day" (Monday - Friday excluding Public Holidays), starting the next working day after the Order is accepted. Various factors such as weather and stock shortages may impact the stated delivery time.

International Delivery

We can provide a courier service for overseas shipments and have previously delivered orders to destinations across the world. For up-to-date shipping costs please contact us before placing your order. If you are not based in the UK, then we can source the best solution.

Remote Locations

If you live in an area that is classed as “remote” by our couriers then you may incur an additional delivery charge. Remote areas include the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands & Islands and Northern Ireland. If you are unsure if you will incur an additional delivery charge, then please get in touch prior to placing your order.
